Kelantan, Zaidi Mohamad, 46, yang lebih dikenali sebagai ''Zaidi Buluh Perindu'',

meninggal dunia di Hospital Tumpat akibat serangan jantung, di sini hari ini.

Zaidi jatuh dan pengsan ketika membuat persembahan dikir barat untuk

menyambut ketibaan Menteri Pertanian dan Industri Asas Tani Datuk Seri Noh Omar

di Kompleks Perikanan Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia (LKIM) Geting, di sini,

pada 10.35 pagi dan disahkan meninggal dunia di hospital itu pada 11 pagi.

Allahyarham yang menetap di Kampung Bunut Sarang Burung, di sini,

meninggalkan seorang isteri, Zaharina Mohamad, 47, dan tujuh anak berusia

antara 11 hingga 28 tahun.

Allahyarham turut merakamkan lebih 100 album sejak berkecimpung dalam dunia

dikir barat sejak 20 tahun lepas, dan mula terkenal selepas lagu dikir barat

bertajuk ''Juwita'' mendapat sambutan menggalakkan daripada penduduk negeri ini.

Zaharina ketika ditemui di rumahnya berkata beliau reda dengan pemergian

suaminya namun terkilan kerana hajat Zaidi untuk menunaikan umrah pada April

ini tidak tercapai.

"Pagi ini arwah sempat bersarapan sebelum turun membuat persembahan dikir

barat di Kompleks LKIM itu. Saya tidak syak apa-apa sehinggalah menerima

panggilan mengatakan arwah meninggal dunia," katanya.

Sementara itu, Noh turut meluangkan masa melawat keluarga Zaidi selepas

selesai merasmikan Restoran Sri Nelayan Persatuan Nelayan Kawasan (PNK) Tumpat

serta menyampaikan elaun sara hidup tunai Parlimen Tumpat dan Pengkalan Chepa di

LKIM Geting di sini.

Turut hadir Anggota Dewan Undangan Negeri (Adun) Pengkalan Kubor Datuk Noor

Zahidi Omar, Naib Ketua Umno Bahagian Tumpat Wan Hanapi Wan Yaakob dan Pengarah

LKIM Kelantan Wan Mohd Adnan Wan Ibrahim.

Jenazah dikebumikan di Tanah Perkuburan Islam Kampung Bunut Sarang Burung

selepas solat Asar.
