Moyes left all at sea by scale of United job, says former coach

(Reuters) - David Moyes lost his job as Manchester United manager because he ignored advice and failed to appreciate the scale of the job, said Rene Meulensteen, a former coach at the Premier League club. Moyes was sacked on Tuesday after a disastrous 10-month spell in charge, with United now certain to finish outside the Premier League's top four for the first time. KUALA LUMPUR, 22 Ogos (Bernama) -- Seorang wanita hanya mengetahui suaminya

"Saya mendapat tahu mengenai kematian suami saya menerusi syarikat khidmat

KEMALANGAN-BAS 2 (REAKSI) (AKHIR) KUALA LUMPUR

Scolari knows Brazil squad, picks four captains for World Cup

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari knows his 23-man squad for the World Cup finals and has chosen Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Julio Cesar and Fred to act as captains, he said on Thursday. "I have no doubts," Scolari said at the Sao Judas Tadeu University in Sao Paulo after a conference on psychology and football. You never know what might happen." 'Chosen One' banner removed after Moyes sacking

The last visible evidence of David Moyes' miserable reign at Manchester United was removed on Thursday as the infamous 'The Chosen One' banner was taken down from the Stretford End at Old Trafford. Moyes was sacked on Tuesday after just 10 months in charge of United and the much-maligned Scot is quickly being erased from the club's history. After being hand-picked by his predecessor Alex Ferguson to take over at United, Moyes was hailed by supporters as the chosen one, a reference to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's self-styled nickname 'the Special One'.
