First match Malaysian Everton fan attends after 30 years of support gets postponed, club make it up to him

Everton supporter of 30 years Ric Wee made the long trip from his home in Malaysia to witness his first live match on Wednesday as the Toffess were set to take on Crystal Palace. After making his way into Goodison Park an hour before kickoff, Wee tweeted a selfie to show his look of pure, mustachioed joy upon finally being in his beloved club's home ground after so many years of support.

But shortly after Wee made the statement he's been waiting 30 years to make, it was announced that high winds had damaged Goodison Park and forced the match to be postponed. Though the dream he went to great effort and expense to try and fulfill was dashed, he seemed to take the news pretty well, tweeting that his dream will "continue to be on hold," making it all the more heartbreaking.

Wee's tweets quickly spread across the social network and before too long, reached staffers at Everton, who tracked him down and made the experience unforgettable by bringing him back to the dressing room to meet Roberto Martinez and Leighton Baines. His smile was back and even bigger than before.

Sometimes football can be wonderful even when the match gets postponed.
