Sergio Aguero reunited with son, Ronaldo meets Rihanna & Neymar (not) the star

Despite a tumultuous period in his personal life, it seems that Manchester City star Sergio "Kun" Aguero has finally found a light at the end of the tunnel.

Aguero and his ex-wife, Giannina (Diego Maradona's youngest daughter) separated earlier this year and he endured a difficult few months without his 3-year-old son, Benjie, who returned home with his mother.

However, a few days ago, the 24-year-old striker was reunited with his adorable son in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

"I'm happy to be back in Buenos Aires and there's nothing better (than) to reconnect with Ben. I love you son!" Aguero wrote on Twitter, along with a photo of Benjie and his favourite Iron Man toy.

There were rumours suggesting that Aguero had been willing to consider a move back to Madrid so he could visit his son at his own leisure, but these rumours were proven to be false when he renewed his contract with City until 2017.

Following the divorce proceedings, his ex-wife gained custody of his son and moved him back to Argentina, where her father and family are currently based.

Aguero, who scored 12 goals in 30 matches last season, also confirmed his relationship with Argentinean cumbia singer, Karina Tejeda, also known as "La Princesita".

Tejeda, who is said to be fiercely private about her relationship with Aguero, recently revealed on Argentinean TV that she "cried for days" after the media accused her of being a home-wrecker and the main cause of Aguero and Gianinna's divorce.

"When I started singing, I did not think I had to deal with these things. I hate to be (in) the media. I do not find it comfortable. In my family, everyone is crying (about it) and it's very bad," she admitted.

However, Tejeda has visited Aguero several times in Manchester and when he returned to his homeland last week, she did not shy away from her affections.

"Nothing better to say than 'I love you' to those who make (me) happy! You're my life, I love you a lot!" she wrote in a Twitter message.

Kun responded: "I just arrived in St. Louis and (read) this message (sic). I love you too!"

A little bit of R & R

Cristiano Ronaldo has been enjoying his summer holidays back at home in Portugal, especially in the capital of Lisbon.

The Real Madrid superstar, who was born in the small town of Madeira, attended pop singer Rihanna's concert and in true 'rockstar' style, ended up meeting the singer backstage after her set.

He posted up a photo with the 'Diamonds' singer, flashing a peace sign as the 25-year-old pouted next to him for the cameras.

Ronaldo uploaded the photo to Facebook and captioned the shot with a casual: 'Yesterday at @rihanna's concert.

Last week, Ronaldo also met British boy band One Direction at Real Madrid's Valdebebas ground, as the boys took some time out from their European tour to train in the Spanish capital.

Neymar plays second fiddle

It has been an intense week for Brazilian football starlet, Neymar.

After announcing that he would be joining Catalan giants Barcelona next season in a deal said to be worth S$164m in total, Neymar's next "appointment" was to be the groomsman at his best friend's wedding.

Of course, his friend was none other than Brazilian midfielder, Paulo Henrique Ganso, who married his long-term girlfriend, Giovanna in the northern coast of São Paulo.

In a candid moment, the fun-loving Neymar was photographed beside couple holding a few chocolates.

Neymar and Ganso go back a long way, as they both started out at Santos' youth teams and broke into the Brazilian national selection at (almost) the same time.

Although Ganso joined arch rivals Sao Paulo in 2012, the pair have remained the best of friends and frequently keep in contact.
