Radamel Falcao reveals future as Atletico Madrid party night away

Recently-crowned Copa del Rey champions, Atletico Madrid, were in town this week for a charity match against the Singapore team in aid of the Peter Lim Foundation.

However, there were no visible signs of jet-lag from the 14-hour flight from Atletico players, who enjoyed a sizzling "fiesta" - Spanish style - at nightlife hotspot, 1-Altitude, on Monday.

Futbolita was invited to the exclusive bash, where Radamel Falcao and Diego Simeone partied it up with the Singapore national team and other guests.

"I've never been to this part of the world," confessed Atletico captain, Gabi Fernandez, 29, in Spanish. "And us guys (Atletico players) don't really know much about the fans and culture in Singapore. But we hope to find out more in the next few days!"

He added that the mood within the 22-man squad was "good and calm" and they were looking forward to wrapping the season this weekend with a final game against Real Mallorca at the weekend.

"Singapore a great city and the skyline here is incredible and beautiful," added Gabi, grinning as he tucked into a plate of beef satay.

Meanwhile, Emiliano Insúa, 23, busted out some dance moves at the team table as beer glasses were clinked and banter was exchanged among the players.

Clearly, everyone in the Atletico family - including the Club President - was in high spirits after defeating Real Madrid for the Spanish King's Cup last weekend.

Star striker Falcao, 26, who had to be accompanied by four security guards everywhere he went, simply said to us : "Yes, I'm enjoying myself here - Singapore has beautiful views and scenery."

After that, when asked if he was leaving Atletico, the Chelsea and Man City target simply replied in Spanish : "En fin" (in the end).

Of course, it was nearly impossible to have a conversation with 'El Tigre' in a packed club with music at full blast, but if those words are an indication of his future, it definitely spells the end of the Colombian's journey at Atletico.

One more Rooney!

Wayne Rooney and his wife, Coleen, welcomed a new baby boy into their family on Tuesday morning.

Keeping to the "K" tradition in the family, Klay Anthony was born at 2.11am on Tuesday and weighed 7Ib 11.5 oz (approximately 3kg).

The couple's first son, three-year-old Kai (seen in green above), arrived at Liverpool Women's Hospital with his grandmother and grandfather on Tuesday morning to meet his new baby brother. A few hours later, the Man United star striker, 27, left the building in a carrycot.

"It’s been really good, but I am looking forward to having a good night’s sleep. I have to keep getting up in the night because I can’t get comfortable," said Coleen, 27.
