Sweden releases Zlatan Ibrahimovic stamps and the French can't get enough
The day has finally arrived. Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic stamps — or "Zlamps" as we have dubbed them — have been released and they are already selling like, well, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic stamps. The AFP reports that five million stamps were pre-ordered before the release — a big number for a country with 9.6 million people. But it's not just the Swedish who want these stamps. The PSG striker's French fans are also gobbling them up.
From The Local:
Swedish post (Posten) said in a statement that employees have been snowed under with calls and pre-orders.
"The French are especially interested, that's where Zlatan is the biggest right now. One customer ordered 1,500 packets for their French friends," said the head of stamps at Posten, Britt-Inger Hahne.
"And those French people can't even use them."
The set includes five Zlamps, three of which bear images from the England-Sweden friendly in November 2012 that Zlatan graced with a spectacular goal that went on to win FIFA's Puskas Award. If you send a letter with one of them attached, Zlatan himself appears to kick the recipient in the head upon delivery.
The Zlamps can be purchased at Posten's website.
